Tyke Select, 2013-2014 (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

The Storm Tyke Select boys finished the year off in style. The Tyke Select had their last game against Owen Sound Select Attack. Our boys played their very last Tyke game with something to prove. They came out skating hard, passing the puck and keeping the puck in deep. All 12 skaters contributed in putting the puck in the Attack net 6 times. Our goalie stood on his head, making many big saves and earning him a shut-out.Way to go STORM!!  

Tyke Select played their 2nd game of the year against Hanover. Storm beat the Falcons 3-1 in a end to end battle. Charlie Bennett backstopped our net controling rebounds and covering the puck quickly. Emmett Jackson carried the puck in for 2 goals and Kelvin Gottschalk got his 2nd of the year. Our 4 defence Wesley Grant, Colin Jackson, Kelvin Gottschalk and Carson Anderson held the puck in to keep the pressure on. The 11 skaters on the Selects practiced hard on Friday night then using all their skills for the win on Sunday. Way to work boys!!! 

Tyke Select played a very well fought first game against Walkerton Green. There was lots of excitement in the room and on the ice as this was our first game. The storm hung in there tough with Walkerton. The score ended up 2-1 Walkerton. Emmett Jackson stood tall in net and Kelvin Gottschalk scored our first goal.
