Midget AE, 2010-2011, Major Novice (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

In a must win game, Captain Tanner Beange scored the game winner as the Legault's Independent Saugeen Shores Midget AE Storm defeated Mitchell 4-3 in overtime in Southampton.  Colton Hall added two goals while Chris Van Ooteghem chipped in with a single.  Brody Farrish picked up the win in net.  Mitchell still leads the best of 5 series 2 games to 1.  Game #4 in the series is Monday night at 9pm in Mitchell. 

The Legault's Independent Saugeen Shores Midget AE Storm made it to the final of the Collingwood Silver Stick held Friday, November 26 to Sunday, November 28 in Stayner, Thornbury, and Collingwood.

Tanner Beange led the way with 1 goal and 1 assist while Jacob Roote and Bill Holmes each scored one as the Saugeen Shores Midget AE team downed BCH 3-2 in Hensall.  Brody Farrish picked up his third win of the season. The Midget AE team will try and even their season record with a win Saturday afternoon in Southampton hosting Howick at 4pm.

Chris Van Ooteghem led the way with 2 goals and 2 assists while Brody Farrish picked up his second win of the season as the Midget AE team downed visiting Clifford by a score of 5-1. Zach Walker, Darren Kimewon, and Micheal Deboer each netted singles for Saugeen Shores.  Their next game is their first road game of the season on Wednesday, October 28 in Moncton against Elma Logan.

On Thursday, October 14/10 the Saugeen Shores Midget AE team hosted BCH in their home opener in Southampton.  As expected both teams got off to a slow start as it was their first game of the year however once Saugeen Shores took the lead they never looked back.  Darren Kimewon led the way with 2 goals and 3 assists for a 5 point night while Brody Farrish picked up the win in net.  Next action for the Midget AE team is Friday, October 22 at 7:30pm when they host Clifford in Southampton.
