Novice LL #4, 2008-2009 (Saugeen Shores Minor Hockey)

Novice LL#4 and LL#2 played a great exhibition game in Southampton on Jan 28th. Both teams were well matched and played with all their hearts in an exciting and action packed game. In the first period, Shawn Charlebois, playing as strong as usual, popped one into the net on LL#2. Not to be outdone, LL#2 came back with a goal of their own in the first. Riley Gerrior-Johnson brought LL#4 into the lead again in the 2nd period and then sealed the game by scoring again in the 3rd. Saugeen Shores Novice LL#4 had a great game on Wiarton's home ice. Both teams were on their game and played hard. Saugeen Shores took the lead 3-0 in the first period and with a limited line-up worked hard to stay ahead. In the second and third periods, Wiarton came back and scored 3 goals with Saugeen Shores chipping in a few more to close the game out at a respectable 7-3 final for Saugeen Shores. Saugeen Shores Novice LL#4 and TCDMHA (Desboro) had an exciting game on Nov 13th in Southampton. It was neck in neck throughout most of the game with each team taking turns in the lead. Both teams were fairly evenly matched skill-wise and played hard. At the last moment, after being tied up again, Saugeen Shores came through with the winning goal. A good two-way game was played by all LL#4 players, with solid goaltending by Des Gouin. Riley Gerrior Johnson led the way with four goals with singles scored by Nikki Walker and Sean Charlebois.
