Midget Girls Find Their Mojo
The Storm Midget Girls found their mojo on this night against the Tiverton Thunder. With all pistons firing, the Midget Ladies skated hard and moved the puck more effectively, creating many quality scoring opportunities. Storm goaltender Kenzie Bertrand made several key stops, and enjoyed her first shutout of the season. Smart, heads-up play by the defensive core of Sarah Thornburn, Kate Little, Becca Walker and Nicole Steele kept the shots against down to a respectable level on this night. In the end, a Becca Walker blast from the point with only 3:44 left in the third cracked the Tiverton goose egg, and bought the deserving Storm ladies their 3rd win of the season... and their ticket out of the basement in the WOAA Midget Girls Division 2.
