Shallow Lake Classic Champions!
Congratulations to the Saugeen Shores Storm U13 B team, champions of the Shallow Lake Classic tournament.
Their first game Friday October 27 ended in a tie against the Shallow Lake Lakers, score 1-1. Their next game was against the Thorold Blackhawks and Storm came out on top with a score of 4-1. To end the first day of the tournament the Storm took on the Orillia Terriers and won 9-0.
Day two the Storm played in a semi final game against the Thorold Blackhawks, winning 4-0, goalie Kaine Myers second shut out of the tournament.
In the final game the team battled it out again with the Shallow Lake Lakers. After a 2-0 lead Shallow Lake scored with 17 seconds left in the third period, but the Storm stayed strong and came through with the win! Special congratulations to Greyson Wolfe for bringing home the tournament MVP!
