STORM Faces Goderich Sailors
Once again the Atom AE team sponsored by Tibor's Krown Rust Control and Rosner's came out flying the the first period and well into the second. Unassisted, Coleton McNabb firing a shot past the Sailor's netminder to put Storm up 1-0. Goalie Kenneth Bollen made some flying saves to keep Goderich at Bay until the second period where Goderich scored 3 to end the second period 3-1 Goderich. Third period showed some strong play by both teams with action in front of both netminders. The Sailor's #4 Braedon Duncan pushed one in 3 minutes into the third, answered by Storm goal scored by Malcolm Mcintosh putting the score at 4-2. Mcintosh rang one off the cross bar narrowly missing a second goal, and there were some close chances created by STORM that couldn't quite close the gap. Sailor's #4 got a hat trick when scoring an empty netter with just 40 seconds left to play. This game was a good warmup for both teams as they will be facing each other in first round of playoffs commencing next week. Storm faces BCH Saturday at 2:00 in Southampton to finish regular season.
