TOURNAMENT RULES
1. This is an
OMHA Sanctioned Tournament and all OMHA Rules will apply.
2. Team
Officials and Players must check in at the Tournament Office upon arrival at
the arena on the day of the tournament to have team rosters checked. Meal tickets will be handed out at this time.
3. Ice Floods
will be between games or at the discretion of the tournament chairman.
4. This is a
one day tournament with 8 teams participating.
5. Each team
will play 2 guaranteed games. Winners of
the second game will advance to the final of either the Consolation or
Championship round.
6. The games
will consist of 10-10-10 min stop time periods.
Teams will change ends at the end of each period. The 3rd period will be stop time
except when one team has a lead of 6 or more goals. In this case, the REMAINDER of the 3rd period will be straight time even
if the deficit is reduced to less than 6 goals.

7. One 30
second time out will be allowed for each team in all games.
8. In the event
of a tie after 3 periods of play the following will take place. One 5 min overtime period (stop time, sudden
death, 3-on-3). Penalties in OT will
result in a 4-on-3 situation. If still
tied after OT, the teams will go to a shoot-out using 3 different players. If still tied, each team will continue taking
penalty shots until a decision is reached.
All shots are to be taken by different players and the original 3
players cannot take a turn until the whole team has had a chance to score. This will be reviewed with both coaches prior
to any overtime so all concerned are clear on the matter.
