Saugeen Shores Bantam LL2 Season Brief
The season started off with a bang winning 3 games in a row. The team would go on without loosing a game until the end of November.
We went on to finish the regular season in 4th place with a very impressive 11-4-3 record earning 25 points in 18 games. Come playoffs Bantam LL2 found themselves in a very tough Maroon North Division consisting of the top 6 teams from regular season. With only one game remaining in the Maroon North Division, Bantam LL2 was sitting in first place with a 6 -2-1 record at 13 points in 9 games played and holding the tiebreaker over Hanover. Then the world stopped, and like that, hockey was cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus. Regardless of how the season ended the players and fans should be very happy with the way they worked and developed as individuals and teammates over the season. We are positive as a team, Bantam LL2 was going to the Maroon final and going to win that Championship. Unfortunately, with many players on the roster who have never made it to a league final we never got the opportunity to prove ourselves as champions. Thank you to all the players for their dedication and all the fans for cheering for us all season.
