Complete Flooring Atom HL Girls year end

The Complete Flooring Atom HL Girls go 0-2 in year end WOAA tournament but skate off the ice making every parent proud.

Although our season did not end the way we had hoped at the WOAA year end tournament the girls should be proud of the way they carried themselves all season.  We did not have a winning season according to the stats but the girls showed determination and resilience all winter from one game to the next.  They always tried their best and worked hard in practice to improve.
The team had an uphill battle all season with The Owen Sound Ice Hawks and TCDMHA Rebels.  These 2 teams clearly could have competed in the C division but they made our girls work hard to stay in it and we were even rewarded once with a tie with TCDMHA.
Our Storm Girls were able to also come up with ties against Kincardine, Wingham/Lucknow and Upper Maitland and a win during the Orangeville Tournament in January.  The team was made up of 12 first year Atoms and 4 second year girls.  Several of the girls were also in their first year of hockey and watching their growth over the season was remarkable.
A big thanks must go out to the parents for getting the girls to and from the arena's all season.  Thanks to Complete Flooring for the excellent sponsorship.  Thanks to Coach Shawn Nelson for your leadership and running practices.  Thanks to Coach Bryan Tedford for the assistance all season at practice and on the bench, Emily Kelly for the one on one goalie coaching, Veronica Tedford for her on ice assistance to demonstrate drills and talk to the girls.  Also thanks to Amanda Pinch for being a great Team Manager helping keep things straight and thanks to Joe Ronholm and Nick Torenvliet for assisting with Dryland Training.
Lastly a huge thank you to all the girls on the team for your hard work and determination.  Seeing you girls on a weekly basis always made me smile and keep me coming back.
Good luck to Emma, Lena, Marykka and Camryn as you make the jump up to PeeWee.  Go be great!
For those that remain in Atom I wish you all luck in trying out for the Rep team next season.
I can't wait to see you all again.
Thanks,

Coach Brian
