Fallfest Tournament Champs
This past weekend the Remax Land Exchange Bantam C Girls travelled to Kitchener to compete in the Fallfest Tournament.
The Bantam Girls battled through the round robin with 3 victories and a tie to finish in first place. Sunday morning the ladies played on the big ice at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium for their Semi-Final game with a win against the Mitchell Meteors. The Finals were set up with the Kent County Fillies. The Storm won a close game against the Fillies in the round robin 3-2. The first period saw the Fillies jump out to a 1-0 lead. The Storm stayed in the game with some good scoring chances and great goaltending. With 3 minutes left in the third minute and on a power play, Ashley scored to tie the game. After 5 minutes of 3 on 3 overtime the game was still tied and was to be settled with a shoot out. With both shooters scoring in round one, the game was won in fourth round with a goal by Grace. Congratulations on the tournament win.
