Congratulations to the Unifor Atom B’s – WOAA Champs!
A great ending to a great season for the Unifor Atom B’s as they take home the WOAA Championship in the top grouping of the Atom Rep division.

After working their way through their WOAA grouping of BCH, Mitchell and Wingham the Saugeen Shores Storm Atom B’s met up with the Walkerton Capitals for the WOAA Championship.  Game 1 was a beauty to watch with great puck movement and pursuit through each of the 3 periods.  The Atom B’s were able to come away with a 6-0 win.

With their backs to the wall Walkerton came out strong in Game 2.  Thanks to great saves by Nakai and VanGeel the Atom B’s were able to complete the Championship victory with a 1-0 win.

This season had many great achievements by this group:

Roy Beechey Rep Tournament (Tillsonburg) - Champs

Georgian Shores Fall Classic Tournament – Champs

Wingham Regional Silver Stick – Champs

OMHA Atom B – Finalists

WOAA Atom Rep – Champs

Although the Unifor Atom B’s came up short in their quest for the OMHA Atom B title the coaching staff is extremely proud of all the players’ commitment to improvement and effort throughout this season.  Many players never get to experience a WOAA Championship or play in an OMHA finals.  This speaks strongly of the character and skill found on this team.

A big congratulations on an outstanding season to E. Akerman, J. Boone, M. Bourassa, R. Foster, B. Hall, S. Hall, A. Jacklin, C. Jackson, Z. Lawrence, M. Lettau, C. Marshall, T. Nakai, S. Porter, D. Thomson and H. VanGeel.

Keep your sticks on the ice and have a great summer.
