Win in Ayton against West Grey

Goal-tending by Jack Bennett was equally stellar, amazing and fantastic.  With a ton of shots on net, Jack managed another shutout game.  It turns out that having to borrow a goalie glove (to replace the one accidentally left at Fowler’s) may have been a stroke of good luck!

It was a busy game for the defensemen.  Josh kept calm with nerves of steel when it came to facing the opposition.  Nick performed some great back-checking.  Brady showed off quick actions and nice footwork.  Ritchie was able to control the puck and take some offensive initiative this game.

Players demonstrated some great passing sequences.  Brennan, Andrew and Nick showed great co-operation and were looking around for the open man.  Quinn took several strong shots.  Cole skated hard and did his best to get in and dig.  Tyler’s soft hands allowed him to show his skill in protecting the puck.   Hunter kept good control and used his speed to our advantage.

Lucas showed his defensive skills, covering wherever needed.  Andrew’s willingness to aggressively charge the net and keep control of the puck had him weaving around defenders for several scoring opportunities.

Here is what went down:

Tyler scored the first goal in the 1st period.  Great job!

Scoreless 2nd period

Andrew scored our second goal in the 3rd period.  Nearing the end of the game, the Warriors pulled their goalie which enabled Quinn to send the puck sliding into the empty net, shot accurately from just outside the blue line.

Final Score 3:1 for Rowlands Independent Saugeen Shores PeeWee LL2

Season Results:  3 wins and 3 losses
