In the scoreless
first period, Rowlands Independent Saugeen Shores PeeWee LL 2 kept up good pressure
against the Falcons.
While both teams battled hard in the second with the Falcons enjoying lots of scoring opportunities and capitalizing. Both Saugeen Shores goals were scored in the 3rd period. Quinn scored on a 2 on 1 breakaway with a nice cross-the-net pass from Cole and a quick wrist shot to hit the mesh. It was Quinn’s first goal of the season. Tyler’s rebound came out to Hunter who was in great position to score bringing the score. Nice job. In the 3rd period, Coach Mike Phillips pulled the goalie when we were down by one and the score was 3:2. Sending Quinn out as the extra attacker Coach was hoping to bring the score to a tie. As time was running down, the Falcons snagged possession and scored on the empty net making the final score 4:2 Falcons.
