Giant Tiger Peewee girls look good in Mount Forest.
On November 11th, the Giant Tiger Peewee C girls' team travelled to Mount Forest for their first tournament of the year.

The Peewee girls' first opponent was the Keene Wolverines.  The Storm faced the Wolverines last year in Silver Stick and were looking to avenge the loss.  While the Wolverines were a larger team, they were no match for the speed of the Storm girls'.  The score, 5-0 with goals scored from Lily, Sabra, Chloe and two from Nat. Assists to Ashley, Brooke, Chloe, Sydney, Sabra and Layla.  Shut out to Emma.  Next game, TCDMHA Rebels.  Once again, Emma was there for the shut out.  Goals scored by Lauren, Brooke, two for Ashley and star call-up from the HL team, Maggie.  Once again, the speed of the Storm girls' and their aggressiveness was the difference.  The defense was rushing the puck well and back checking even better.  Assists to Maggie, Ashley, Brooke and Sophia.  Score 5-0.  Saturday was going to be an early and long day with three games on the schedule.  At 9am, the girls faced the Grand River Mustangs.  The Storm girls' were wide awake for this game as they peppered shot after shot at the Mustangs goalie.  The only problem was the Mustangs goalie must have had something extra for breakfast as the Storm girls' could only solve her once.  Score 1-1.  Goal from Chloe, assisted by Lily and Sabra.  After a wonderful lunch? the girls next game was played in Harriston against the host team of Mount Forest.  The Lower Lakes league leader, Rams, were not going to be denied in their home tournament.  While the Storm girl's played well, they fell 3-0.  At the end of a long day, the Storm girls' face an old rival, the Walkerton Capitals.  In a chippy game, the girls fell behind 2-0.  The girls attempted a comeback when Sophia scored to get them within one goal, but that was as close as they would get.  Assists to Brooke and Grace. Final score, 2-1. Great tournament girls.  Special thanks to Maggie for filling in on short notice and it was a pleasure to have you.
