Hockey Day in Wiarton
Saturday, November 22, the Crabby Joe's Atom C Girls travelled north for "Hockey Day in Wiarton."  Upon taking the ice, the girls ran into a very hot goalie.

The Atom girls spent most of the game in the Predator's end and if not for their hot goalie, the score would have gotten out of hand.  The game remained scoreless after the first period of play.  Ashley opened the scoring in the second period with assists from Gracelyn and Natalie.  With less than 2 minutes left in the period, Brooklyn put the Storm up by 2 with assists from Ella and Layla.  Early in the third period, hard work and determination paid off for MacKenzie as she potted her first career goal on a rebound assisted by Ashley and Gracelyn.  Natalie scored the final goal of the game on a nice rush, assisted by Brooklyn.  Emma secured the shutout on a light workload.  Great team effort all around.  Parker, Chloe and Madison had lots chances and worked well on the fore check.  Lauren stood her ground on the blue line, pinching well and getting the puck to the net for the forwards.  Congrats to MacKenzie on the great game and earning the Heavy Metal award.
