Atom Girls get the season started
The Crabby Joes Atom C Girls kicked off the season Saturday morning against the Kincardine C team. This was a game of many first. Gracelyn, Mackenzie and Madison played their first game ever, Emma played her first game as goalie, and Coach Chad had his first as a Head Coach.
The game remained scoreless until midway through the second period when Kincardine scored then added another one in the final minute to go up 2-0. Kincardine added one more in the third period to make the final 3-0.
The score could have easily been a lot higher if not for the solid defence from Ashley, Ella, Layla, Lauren and Storm player of the game, goaltender Emma. The great back checking of forwards Natalie, Brooklyn, Parker, Chloe and Sharky kept Kincardine scoring chances to a minimum. New comers Gracelyn, Madison and Mackenzie still learning the game played their positions well.
Great job girls. "115%, 100% of the time." It's going to be a great season.
