LL4 Maisie Trelford Wins over AEMHA Ice Dogs

LL4 McNuggets mid week game took on the AEMHA Ice Dogs on away ice in Paisley Wednesday evening.  Unlike the even match up that we had in out game last week against the Paisley team, we proved that they were no match for us.

The game started out slow as we were waiting for referees to show up.  Twenty minutes past before the officials arrived, and we waited in anticipation for the game to start.  The team had plenty of time for warm up and used their added time well to skate and saunter around the ice, saving their energy for the game.  The puck eventually dropped at 6:20pm with one Official to look after the match.

The kids were excited to get started, and immediately showed their dominance on the ice.  They marked their territory and kept the puck out of our end.  The Ice Dogs goalie tried hard to keep the puck out of their net, but the McNuggets already figured out how to get the puck past him.  The McNuggets managed to get five goals in the expedited game due to the late start.  The final score of this game was 5-0 in favor of the McNuggets.  With that being said, very few shots were had against Lucas who celebrated a shut out.  Great job!!

Honorable mentions for this game go to Liam with two goals, Emmett with a goal, Brandon with a goal, William with a goal, Lucas with an assist and an assist for Tyler also.

“Battles” Sean received the puck for player of the game and rightfully deserved.  He fought hard for the puck and played his position all game.  Great game Sean!!

The McNuggets are back on the ice for Thursday 5:00pm practice in Southampton, and then suit up again to meet our Shallow Lake Lakers 1 rivals Saturday at an early 10:00am start at the Shallow Lake & District Community Centre.
