Pee Wee Cs Qualify for Provincials
The Storm Pee Wee C Girls (sponsored by the Port Elgin Lions Club / Port Elgin Vet Clinic) achieved another milestone in their stellar 2012-13 campaign tonight (Feb 19) as they qualified for the OWHA Provincial Finals being held in our nation's capital in April.

To qualify for the right to represent Saugeen Shores in the Ottawa tournament, the Storm had to come out on top of a five team round robin playdown which has been underway since the beginning of February.

After beating teams from West Grey and Mildmay, and coming up with a 0-0 tie against Georgian Shores, it all came down to one final game.  The Storm had to secure a win against their league rivals the TCDMHA Rebels in order to guarantee their spot in the Provincial Finals and they did not disappoint.  The team made the trek to Keady and handed the Rebels a 2-1 loss on their home ice.

The team staff, coaches and fans are so proud of this group of girls and all they've accomplished thus far, and the season is far from over.  Before heading to Ottawa in April, the girls will be playing in the Walter Gretzky tournament in Brantford this weekend as well as playing host to the WOAA Pee Wee Girls final tournament in late March.

Way to go girls!!
