Novice Local League #1 Lose Close One in Kincardine.
The Novice Local League #1 went to Kincardine to play the Kanuck's Novice Local League #2.  The teams seemed very evenly matched right from the start.

Maddy Leger started her second game between the pipes.  Kincardine came out of the gates strong, starting the scoring only one minute in.  Near the end of the first period Lauren MacDonald fed Nolan Schoneck a pass that allowed him to score our first of the game.

Kincardine started the second by taking a 2-1 lead.  Shortly after, the Storm replied with a break by Adam McGregor, scoring his first of the year.  Thirty seconds later, Jack Bennett scored his first of the year from a pass by Jacob Thornley to vault the Storm into a 3-2 lead.  Kincardine tried to break free with many good rushes, but to no avail with steady defensive plays by Keelan Soini, Joey Ackert and Wes Kozelenko.

The third period showed a bunch of activity on both sides.  Kincardine tied it up, then Aidan Marshall put a rebound in after Kennedy Stauffer made an end to end rush which was started by a quick pass from Jake Lawrence.  With just over a minute left, the Storm held the lead 4-3, but Kincardine was not to be thwarted.  They quickly scored 2 in the last minute of play to take the lead for the final time.  Despite a deparate attempt in the last few seconds, the Storm were forced to face defeat.  A well fought battle team!
