PeeWee BB Face Listowel and Hanover
The Port Elgin Legion Saugeen Shores PeeWee BB had another full weekend.

The Port Elgin Legion Saugeen Shores PeeWee BB had another full weekend. Saturday they played host to the Listowel Cyclones. There was a lot of back and forth play in the first but the Cyclones got on the scoreboard first at the six minute mark. It was a penalty-filled second period with Listowel getting a goal with the extra man at the halfway point. Three minutes later, they would get a short handed goal but the Storm answered quickly twenty seconds later as Murray Martin would get the puck to Colton McNabb who found the back of the net. That would spark the team on but, in the end, the penalties would get the better of them with Listowel picking up the 5-1 win.

Sunday afternoon the Hanover Falcons visited the Plex for a very tight and exciting game. After a scoreless first Hanover would open the scoring halfway through the second with the extra man. They would get another one early in the third. A minute later, Thomas MacDonald passed the puck to Troy Cournyea from behind the net, Troy sent it out front and Kelly Cobean pinched in to get the Storm on the board. With less that five minutes left in the game, Jack Middleton got the puck to Malcolm MacIntosh in the neutral zone who skated in alone to tie things up. A minute later, on the power play, Colton Heipel roofed one during a scramble in front of the net to take the lead. Thanks to same great defensive work by Kent Ribey, William Forsyth, Paul Leger & Duncan Wilkinson, The Storm would hang on for a 3-2 win, their first win of the regular season. Forwards Aiden Ackermen, Kenneth Bollen, and Nick Sutter worked hard in both game. A big thanks to Jack Flarity and Jake Ackert in net.  WRITTEN BY ADEL MIDDLETON
