Maisie Trelford Atom LL#3 has started their 2011-12 season with two games.
We burst onto the season with a strong showing against a shorthanded Bruce Peninsula team. Led up front by Jarrett Cameron and the quick release of Ethan Grieg, back stopped with a leather- flashing shutout by Alec Horning, the team played well in all phases of play.
We then hit the road to Desboro for a Saturday morning tilt against TCDMH; this game was kept close early by the outstanding play of the opposing net minder who stoned our players repeatedly. Once the mesh was stretched the team showed outstanding effort in both ends of the rink led by Nick Scott’s gritty plays inspiring outstanding hustle from Ethan Grieg, Carter O’Leary, Theo Wilkinson, Eric Johnson, Walker McNabb, Jarrett Cameron not to be left out, the defense of Curtis Bender, Tyler Bamford, Caleb McLaren, Garrett Hall, Zac Vanhaelemeesch and Toby Wilkinson can take pride in assisting their net minder Alec Horning to another shutout.
