Scotiabank Storm Novice LL3 Extend Winning Streak to Seven Games
Despite missing some key players from their line-up, the Scotiabank Storm Novice LL3 manage to extend their winning streak to seven games with a convincing 8-0 victory against Bruce Peninsula in Lion’s Head on Friday night (Nov 26).

Goaltender Ryan Perry earned the first shutout of the season for the Storm LL3’s while his younger brother Adam notched an assist in his first game as a call-up for the team.

Quick shifts made the large ice surface in Lion’s Head manageable for the Storm’s nine skaters, and the depth of the line-up was evident as every player on the roster earned at least a point in the game.

The Storm struck early and often with James Fowler opening the scoring early in the first, from Matthew Martin and Logan Lemcke. Maddy Leger and Curtis Vandenberg rounded out the scoring in the first with assists going to Lemcke and the Adam Perry.

Coming into the second period up 3-0 the Storm focussed on their passing game moving the puck well in the Bruce Peninsula zone with some nifty tic-tac-toe passing plays. Scoring for the Storm in the second were Sam Kozelenko (2), Vandenberg and Lemcke with assists going to Leger, Fowler, Martin and Isaac Bester.

Martin laid the final blow with a goal late in the third from Leger and Darrin Shular.

The Storm meets Bruce Peninsula for the rematch in Southampton on Monday November 29 at 6pm.
