2010 Begins with a Win
2010 is shaping up to be a good year for the Carson's Supply Saugeen Shores Novice LL #1 Team. On January 2 in Desboro LL#1 managed to come away with a well deserved 4-3 victory over the TCDMAA #2 squad. The first period ended with LL#1 up 2-1 with goals by Jared Meyer and Nathan Van Myall with a nifty backhand. The tide turned in period number 2 when TCDMAA scored two to go ahead 3-2. But the third period belonged to Saugeen Shores. Tyler Bamford supplied the tying goal with his first of the season and Jared Meyer capped off the winning goal with his continued strong play. Of note was the great work by rookie goalie James Clazie and the continually improving strong defensive play of Tyler Bamford, Riley Funstan, Isaac Bester and Matthew Martin.
