Kewageshig Nets 4 in First Win of the Season!!!
 Article Submitted by Rob Plaice
The Allen's Fireside Grill/TD Canada Trust LL Atoms were in action this past Saturday on the road at Shallow Lake. The Storm came with their game faces on for this one.

The first period saw tight checking from both teams and no scoring. The 4 defencemen were going all out and an excellent backchecking effort by Brett Kinden prevented a breakaway opportunity. Kobe Kimewon was always quick to pinch at the point or quickly move the puck up the ice.Wes Johnson was a physical force, Tarik Mckay put his body on the line, the Storm meant business.
The second period the Storm broke through. Ken Bingham notched the first for the Storm and then Wade Kewageshig went to work with 4 straight goals, highlighted by a slick stickhandling goal - a forehand/backhand deke in the slot with assists going to Braedan Ashton, Nick Plaice and Wes Johnson. Shallow Lake were given little room to skate with Kevin Crombeen and Jackson Barber forechecking relentlessly.
The Storm kept getting stronger in the third and were not going to let Shallow Lake off the hook. The pressure and terrific passing lead to insurance goals by Bill Johnson, Jonah Neron, and Koby Kimewon capped off a great effort on defense with a hard slapper and the last goal.  Austin Fewster and Adrian Schwandt shared the shutout victory in goal and made key saves throughout the game.  Great effort and a well deserved victory!! WAY TO GO STORM!!
