Game 3 Ties the Series
Written by Coach Dave:  Storm thundered Kincardine Kinucks Sunday evening with a 5-0 victory.

Saugeen Shores Storm Pee Wee A/E sponsored by Ralph's Hi-Way Shopette and Scoreboard Sports Too made it very clear to the Kinucks that this series is not over.  Storm lit up the scoreboard at 5:56 into the first with an unassisted goal by #14 Eric Parr.  Storm gained the zone when Parr dumped the puck into the corner and raced in to recover his own puck.  Parr skated the puck behind the Kinuck net and bounced it off a scrambling Kinuck goaltender from behind the net for an unassisted game opener.
The second period had it all: power play, penalty kill and scoring.  Storm #5 Brendan Morano took a pass through centre ice and outskated the Kinucks defenseman who was hot on his tail.  Morano had one too many moves for the Kinucks goaltender who slid right while Morano deked left and slipped the puck into the opening at 14:07.  #15 Harrison Alvarez intercepted a pass in the neutral zone and slipped past the Kinucks defender.  His 5-hole shot at 9:26 was too much for the Kinucks netminder to handle and Storm ended the second in a 3-0 lead.  Storm goaltender #30 Bryce Ribey was on fire making 18 stops to hold the shutout for two periods.
Parr opened the scoring with his second goal of the game at 12:39 in the third.  #16 Cam MacKay passed the puck from wing to wing and Parr buried it with a wrist shot from a sharp angle to put Storm ahead by 4.  #18 Harrison Williams marked that last storm goal while short-handed.  Williams pinched in from the blue line and muscled his way past three Kinucks to find himself all alone on the goal line.  He skated the puck in and back-handed it far side to make the score 5-0.  Kinucks never let up and kept netminder #19 Olivier Caudle busy in the third.  Caudle stopped 10 shots to hold the shutout and secure the Storm win.  Way to Go Storm!!!
The series is now tied at 3 points each.  Next game Wednesday, 20 Jan 10, 7:30 pm at the Plex.
