After trading a number of opportunities, Zach Walker popped home the first marker of the contest at 7:56 of the first period on a set-up from Sam Vecchies and Russ MacMillan. Darren Kimewon ripped an unassisted tally home 3:01 later to give the Storm a 2-0 lead at the completion of the first period.

The Storm kept the momentum rolling as Brannt hall scored with a knuckle puck from the blueline just :49 seconds into the 2nd frame with assists to Sam Vecchies and Zach Walker. Listowel finally popped in a powerplay marker to spoil the shut-out for Farrish at the 13:18 mark of the 3rd on a goal by Ben Verkley, with assists to Anthony Quipp and Cory George.
