Atom Girls Win Gold in Cambridge!
The Dunlop Fuels / Rintoul's Pool & Spa Atom girls returned home from their first tournament of the season with the Gold medal.
The girls went undefeated in the round-robin of the 15th Annual Cambridge Roadrunners Girls Hockey Association Tournament defeating the Walkerton Capitals 2-0 on Friday and then coming back from a 2-0 deficit early in the second game to draw even with the home town Cambridge Roadrunners 2-2.
Saturday saw the girls face the Niagara Falls Rapids who they defeated 2-0 to finish first in the round robin with 5 points.
Sunday's gold medal final game had the Storm again meeting the Cambridge Roadrunners, this time emerging victorious with a convincing 4-1 win.
