Atom Storm On Top
LL#2 Atom Storm in 1st place at 13-3-1.

LL#2 Atom Storm are currently top of the standings after recent action. Resuming action after Christmas.January 3, the Storm travelled to Desboro. It took a while for the team to shake off the
rust, and Desboro's improving play made for a tight back and forth battle.3 times the Storm scored and Desboro roared back.

Thomas Forsyth and Aiden Akerman with 2 goals lead for the storm, but with the game heading for a 3-3 tie, it was Dylan Pomroy whose last ditch effort paid off when he potted the winner with just 3.9 seconds left.
The next day saw closest rivals Arran/Elderslie in town. The teams put on a great show,Colton Heipel buried a nice shot, Forsyth and Pomroy again lead for the Storm, but despite fighting back from a 5-3 deficit in the third, the boys let one slip away in the last minute to lose 6-5, to end the regular season series with Arran Elderslie at 2 wins a piece, more to follow in playoffs???.
January 10, the boys hit the win column again with a 3-0 win at home against Desboro. Richard Bestio was outstanding earning his second shutout of the season.Strong efforts by Wesley Johnson, Colton McNabb, Duncan Wilkinson,River Roote, and Nick Plaice helped to seal the victory. The weekend finished off with a trip to Wiarton and an 8-2 win.Thomas Forsyth
scored 3, and Ethan Ritchie slid home 2 goals(and just missing a hat trick) lead the team. Terence Johnson was impressive with a shadowing job on Wiarton's top player, a big blocked shot and a goal scored. The team played well, with notable efforts by Oakland Abel and Alex Ritchie. Congratulations on a strong team showing .
