Pee Wee C Girls Storm Past Mt. Forest
There was a storm brewing inside the Plex on Sunday as the Midsummers Cafe/Remax Pee Wee C girls faced Mt. Forest for the first time this season.

Our girls came out fast and furious, determined to win.  Rayne Crosetta opened the scoring early by using her speed and effort to beat Mt. Forest to the puck and put it past their goalie.  The girls continued to press hard for the rest of the first period, going into the second with a 1 - 0 lead.

In the second, the line of Sam Harvie, Bryanna Cobean and Sam Albright scored twice with Cobean getting one (assisted by Albright) and Harvie with a beautiful top corner shot (assisted by both Cobean and Albright).   Mt. Forest got on the score sheet with only a couple of minutes left in the period to end the second with the Storm leading 3 - 1.

The Storm continued to work hard in the third.  Jocelyn Parker scored from in front of the net with Harvie and Teila Becker earning assists.  Crosetta then got her second goal of the game, assisted by Becker, to put the Storm up 5 - 1.  With only a minute remaining, Mt. Forest managed to get on the score sheet again to make the final score 5 - 2 for the Storm.  Haileigh Duplantis was very strong in net and made some very timely saves to earn the win.   Congrats Girls!

The girls are very pumped for their next game on Friday at the Barrie Sharkfest Tournament.
