Crabby Joe's Finish Regular Season In First
Crabby travelled to Lucknow Saturday evening and had a full complement of players less Kennedy Stauffer who is still sitting out for precautionary reasons as a result of receiving a head check in the recent SilverStick tournament.

This is her second game on the sidelines and the second game her team has exploded on the opposition. The “Bird” is an inspiration and the team seems to be giving that little extra for her. Unfortunately, the game developed into a chippy affair because of the rising score. Player’s were rotated into different positions i.e. defence to forward, etc but the puck still found its way behind the Lucknow goalie resulting in a 15 – 2 score. Skyler Pomroy and Caelan Macdonald led the attack with seven points each, Olivia Hall and Francesca Alpajaro with 4 points each, Natalie Brown with two, and Emily Russett, Lily VanGeel, and Lauren Macdonald with one each. #7 for Lucknow was their sharpshooter whistling two nice shots past Ashley.

The next day, Sunday afternoon at The Plex was Crabby’s last regular season game and was against the West Grey Atoms. A win would see Saugeen Shores finish with the most points in the league and top seed in the WOAA Year-End Tournament. Five regulars would be absent: Skyler Pomroy, Olivia Hall, Caelan Macdonald, Kennedy Stauffer, and Maddy Leger. Fresh off their Novice C championship in the International SilverStick Tournament affiliated players Olivea Pope, Brooklyn Quanz, Gillian Warren, and Maddy Linklater were called in for support. These girls practice with their bigger Atom sisters and had previous  Atom experience as AP’s during the season so confidence wasn’t lacking. Gillian had a hat trick and an assist for a 4-point game and Olivea had a goal and an assist for two points. Francesca Alpajaro finessed in two markers and had an assist and smooth skating Lily VanGeel contributed 3 assists. Brooklyn, Emily Russett, Natalie Brown, Lauren Macdonald, Maddy Linklater and Emma Nason had their opportunities but everyone played with heart and helped Ashley earn her 6 – 0 shutout. The Atom C’s are now in their Provincial Qualifying Round-Robin games hoping to represent Saugeen Shores in the April championship hosted by a GTA Center.
