PeeWee AE Advance to 2nd Round
The PeeWee AE Ralph's Hi-way Shopette/Scoreboard Sports Too won their first round of playoffs against Goderich in a best 2 out of 3 series. Coming up short in the first game 7-3 at home, the Storm turned it around on the road for the next two games. Game two 3-1 Storm. Finding the net for Saugeen were Colton Heipel, Brendan Morano and Malcolm McIntosh with the empty netter. Assists in the first game went to Colton McNabb, Chris Gilbert, Troy Courneyea and McIntosh. The third and deciding game in Goderich went to the Storm 5-1. Two goals each for Morano and Courneyea, and a single for McIntosh. Assists went to Kenneth Bollen 2, Dylan Pomroy, Heipel and Courneyea.
In the three game series the boys played their best hockey yet, with outstanding goaltending from Jake Ackert and Cameron Plante. Plus the great team work from Brennan Harvie, Jacob Greig, Aiden Akerman, Duncan Wilkinson and Carter Swanson made it a real team effort.
