Bantam A/E leading in series against Collingwood
The Lakeshore Recreation/Bruce County Physio  Bantam A/E Storm leads the Collingwood Blackhawks 2 games to 1 after last weekend.

Last Saturday the Storm played game 3 in Collingwood. Strong penalty killing early on was key for Saugeen Shores in this game. The Storm had many great chances to get on the board first, but were unable to produce a goal. Collingwood would draw first blood. Cameron Mackay replied for the Storm seconds later after a scramble in front of the Collingwood net. Jake Dawson got the lone helper. Early in period two, the Storm added to their lead when Ryan Crosetta took the puck behind the Collingwood net and slipped the puck in on the wrap around. Dawson got his second assist of the game. Crosetta got his second of the game again on the wrap around with Charlie Wilkinson getting the assist to give the Storm a 3-1 lead. Aaron Kazimer scored off a wrist shot from the point; with Wilkinson assisting to give Saugeen Shores a 4-1 lead heading into the third. Storm goaltender Aaron Cruchley made some big saves early on in the final frame to preserve the 3 goal lead for the Storm. With six minutes to go in the game, Collingwood would cut the lead in half, giving them some life. Collingwood would again draw close and make it a 4-3 game. Cruchley was again tested but shut down the Collingwood attack and helped his team earn a 4-3 win and hold a 2-1 lead in the series.

The Storm will try to finish the best of 5 series on Saturday, Feb 5 at 12:00PM at the Plex.
