Tough Loss for Willy's Contracting Novice LL#3

Novice LL#3 played Arran Elderslie Ice Dogs LL#2 on Dec 17th on Home ice in Southampton. Arran Elderslie got off to an early start with 3 goals in the first period followed by another early one in the 2nd to take the lead 4 to 0. Storm's Josh Neron fired back with 2 goals to shorten the gap in the 2nd with an assist by Eve Martin to bring it to 4-2. A/E then broadened the gap again early in the 3rd for a 5-2 lead. Neron came back again with his 3rd for a Hat Trick to bring the score to 5-3, but it wasn't enough to bring them a win. Great offensive/defensive play by all players and some great stops by Goalie Theo Wilkinson. Great effort by all. Despite the loss, all players skated and stick-handled their hearts out - a win just wasn't in the cards for this one. Go Storm! We'll get 'em next time!
