Teamwork Leads to Victory in Paisley by K. Forsyth
After a scoreless first period, the Meridian Credit Union/Power Workers' Union PeeWee LL Storm snipers went to work on the Aaron Elderslie Ice Dogs.
Ethan Ritchie was the first to find the back of the net, followed by a sweet shot by Blake D'Angelo and a hat-trick by Thomas Forsyth, his first of the season. Solid goal tending by Brady Conley and effective defence by Levi Klie, Carter Swanson, Mike Bohnert and Brennan Harvie maintained the 5-0 score by the end of the second period.
Early in the third, a defensive rush by Bohnert added a sixth goal. Ben Vecchies capped off the scoring for the Storm mid-way through the third. Goalie Richard Besito, who minded the net for the second half of the game, relinquished only one goal late in the third.
Forwards Dan Hilbers, Ritchie, and Austin Morris were instrumental in the victory with the all-important assists and invaluable back-checking. With this excellent team effort, Storm PeeWee LL gave their fans much to cheer about with a final score of 7-1.
