Besito leads way with hat trick in Storm win
By Ryan Lamont

The Bruce County Physiotherapy Bantam A/E Storm were looking to get back on the win column after a span of 5 losses in a row on Saturday against Howick at the Plex .

The Storm got on the board seconds into the opening period when Tanner MacAulay won a puck battle along the boards, and then passed to a wide open James Besito in front of the net who snapped home a 1-0 lead for the Storm. With one minute to go in the first period, Justin Lamont went on an end to end rush, cut to the front of the net and roofed home a 2-0 lead for the Storm. Less than one minute into the second while on the power play, Mack Gallagher blasted home a shot from the point for a power play goal with Justin Greig and Braden Kelly getting the helpers. Seconds later Besito gave the Storm a commanding 4-0 lead with a slap shot from the blue line with Gallagher and Lamont getting the assists. Late in the second, MacAulay scored a goal after a nice give and go play with Besito, Cole Farrish got the other assist on the goal. Harrison Tew was awarded a penalty shot with one minute to go in the second, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Tew was able to give the home team a 6-0 lead mid way through the final period, after a scramble in front of the Howick net, with MacAulay and Colton Hall adding to their point totals on the season. With less then two minutes to go in the game, Besito made a nice dangle in front and fired high glove side to complete his hat trick and a 7-0 win for Saugeen Shores

The Storm now have little time to rest as they start their best 2 out of 3 W.O.A.A  playoff series with Mitchell on Tuesday at 8:30 in Mitchell. They then have 2 home games starting on Saturday at 2:00 in Southampton, and if needed a game 3 on the following Saturday the 23rd at 1:00 in South.
