The Power Workers Union Training Inc. and Bruce County Physiotherapy Peewee Local #1 Storm defeated TCDMHA at home
The Storm hosted
TCDMHA #2 on Saturday, December 6th and were keen from the drop of
the puck.
Josh Stewart potted
the first goal of the game at the 5:48 mark of the 1st period assisted by
Stephen Butcher. Following great action at both ends of the rink, the score
remained 1-0 for the home squad at the end of the first frame.
Steward tallied his
2nd of the game just :17 seconds into the 2nd period with
help from Butcher and Ben Vecchies. Taylor Cameron showed great hustle and
scored on a break-away exactly four minutes later to give the Storm a 3-0 lead.
Nine seconds later Sawyer Greig took a pass from Cameron and buried goal #4 for
the Storm. The Storm were on a roll and just :22 seconds later, Vecchies potted
another Storm tally with assists to Ben Walker and Stewart. With 5:18 left in the period Cameron notched his
2nd of the contest with an assist to Greig, and then 2 minutes later
Stephen Butcher dented the twine with help from Stewart for a 7-0 lead. TCDMHA
didn’t give up however, and broke the shut-out bid by Olivier Caudle on a goal
by Tyler Mustard with 2:46 left in
the period, and then followed up with another tally by Brandon Weinlich at the
1:09 mark. At the end of the two
periods the Storm held a 7-2 lead.
The Storm lit the
red light for goal number 8 at the 10:02 mark of the 3rd period on an unassisted
goal by Josh Stewart, and then he tallied another at 6:08 for his 4th goal of the game. The final
goal of the game was scored by Sawyer Greig, assisted by Ben Walker with
4:34 on the clock. In the end the Storm earned a well
deserved team win as all players contributed good passing and hustle with Caudle
standing tall in goal.
