The Saugeen Shores Legault's Independent Grocer Storm Midget AE's won their OMHA midget AE gr3 preliminary group 2 playoff series at the plex on Sunday and captured the WOAA Championship in the process. The Storm was leading the series 5 points to 1 and needed only one more point to win the series. A case of a tie being as good as a win.

One team was blue on white and one team was white on blue but both teams might have been black and blue at the end. The second game of the back-to-back games between the Saugeen Shores novice teams #2 and #3 produced plenty of physical flavour. However, Willy’s Contracting prevailed depositing ten goals behind the ScotiaBank tender while only having to withdraw four from their own net Sunday afternoon at The Plex.

The Saugeen Shores Legault's Independent Grocer Storm Midget AE's won game 3 of their OMHA playdowns (best 3 of 5 game series or first to 6 points) 4 to 2 at the plex Saturday afternoon. The Storm lead the series 5 points to 1.

Opening the scoring was the Storm's Graham Langridge firing a shot from the high slot at the 4:54 mark of the first period. Assisting on the goal was Chris Gundrum.

The Storm got their first penalty early in the second period and on the ensuing powerplay,Mitchell scored, knotting the game at ones.

Opening the scoring was the Storm's Stephen Pilar on a backhand that found the back of the net at the 12:39 mark of the first period. Assisting on the play was Justin Greig. The Storm made it 2-0 at the 6:55 minute mark of the first on a goal by Matt Teschke assisted by James Besito.

Opening the scoring was the Storm's Stephen Pilar on a backhand that found the five hole at the 12:38 mark of the first period. Assisting on the play was Justin Greig.

Early in the second period Ryan Crosetta banged in the puck from infront of the Mitchell net for a 2-0 Storm lead.Taylor Schihl assisted on the goal.
